:The difference is that the Dead or Alive 4 character and settings were explicitly called non-canon by then-Bungie employee Frank O'Connor, because it conflicts with several established facts. It was a tongue-in-cheek cameo, not intended to be canon. The narration of the Forza video, on the other hand, contradicts nothing - if anything, it just means the tracks and vehicles in it are Halo canon, and since they're all based on existing cars and places, I don't see any discrepancies arising from that. -- [[User:Specops306|Specops306]] [[ | :The difference is that the Dead or Alive 4 character and settings were explicitly called non-canon by then-Bungie employee Frank O'Connor, because it conflicts with several established facts. Canon[edit]
This article and UNSC DAEDALUS were both mentioned in a promotional video for Forza Motorsport. This seems similar to how Dead or Alive 4 used Nicole-458 as a character and she was later named as canon. I guesss we'll wait and see.--ハローファン (H1234-NET) 10:22, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
- The difference is that the Dead or Alive 4 character and settings were explicitly called non-canon by then-Bungie employee Frank O'Connor, because it conflicts with several established facts. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 02:01, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
- Well said. Umm, yeah, you said everything, I guess I'm just here agreeing ;) Alex T Snow 03:52, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
- Ah - but then they changed their minds. The characters Bungie creates are canon - the other stuff in that game isn't. When Bungie canonized Nicole, they said that it she, herself was canon, while the rest was not. Her having to fight a bunch of other people is not in Halo canon (thank you), while the whole Nassau station business was a plot-device to justify someone from the 26th century fighting people from the 21st. If Nassau station was ever thought of as canon back then, the time-travel aspect is of ambiguous canon, now, considering its appearence in another series.-- Forerunner 08:11, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
- I'll just put it down to wibbley-wobbley-timey-wimey stuff then. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 06:00, 19 October 2011 (EDT)
