In Halo 3, on the level The Covenant, when you start at Rally Point Bravo while playing on at least Normal difficulty. Grab a Mongoose and drive straight ahead at full speed. When you get to the part where a Marine says, "citadel in sight". Get off of your Mongoose and grab a Ghost as soon as possible. Drive the Ghost ahead as normal. When you get near a tunnel, turn right and climb straight up the mountain. Occasionally, when you climb up the mountain, there may be two Marines. Also, the Marine will not appear when you play on Xbox Live or with more than one player.

Marine Details

  • The Marine is similar to the one that appears On 343 Guilty Spark in Halo: Combat Evolved.
  • The Marine will usually change faces every time you go up the mountain.
  • The Marine will carry only an Assault Rifle and will usually keep it on his back.
  • It is possible to push the marine down the hill.
  • This Marine is capable of driving and shooting, however he is a very poor driver and will usually drive down a hill in a Warthog (causing you to get killed) or crashing into walls while driving a Hornet).
  • The Marine may sometimes say special dialog about himself or about how the Master Chief is acting weird around him.
  • The varying faces of the Marine may be the faces of developers from Bungie.
  • If you switch guns with him you will see that he only has 117 bullets in his gun, which is the Master Chief's call number.
