Template:Rank Infobox Colonel[1] is a field commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Marine Corps and UNSC Army, equal in rank to Captain in the UNSC Navy. They typically command regiment or brigade sized units and senior Colonels may serve as base commanders.
Colonels are sometimes called "full bird Colonels", "bird Colonels" or "full Colonels" to distinguish them from lower ranking Lieutenant Colonels, who also answer to the title of "Colonel".
