Mendicant Bias

05-032 Mendicant Bias was a Contender-class ancilla employed by the Forerunners. Created by Faber-of-Will-and-Might and Shadow-of-Sundered-Star, the ancilla would be put in charge of all Forerunner defenses following the start of their war with the Flood. As part of its assignment, Mendicant Bias was tasked with conducting the first test-firing of a Halo ring, specifically Installation 07. This mission would bring him into contact with the ancient Precursor known as the Primordial, who would make use of the logic plague to turn Mendicant Bias against its creators. Ultimately, a second Contender-class ancilla called Offensive Bias would be created to counter its traitorous counterpart. As the Halo Array was fired, Offensive Bias did battle with Mendicant Bias, defeating and later entombing it on Installation 00.
