The Merchants of Qikost are a group of Sangheili merchants who reside on Qikost, one of the two moons of Sanghelios. The Merchants have been forging weapons since before first contact with the San'Shyuum.[1] They are the manufacturers of a small number of weapons and vehicles used by the Covenant. The designs of these items are of Sangheili heritage, and predate the formation of the Covenant.[2]
After the destruction of High Charity and the collapse of the Covenant, the Merchants began producing materiel previously manufactured by the Covenant's Assembly Forges; these include the Type-33 fuel rod gun.
