The Unggoy Conscript is a class of Unggoy foot soldiers affiliated with the Banished.
Overview
Conscripts are basic Grunt units utilized en masse as light foot soldiers and cannon fodder, just like the Unggoy present in the Covenant. They are standard infantry, often led by Sangheili or Jiralhanae squad leaders. They panic when their leaders are slain, throwing their group into disarray. They will occasionally turn suicidal, equipping dual Plasma Grenades in a last ditch attempt to kill their opponents. They pose little threat individually, but pose a greater danger in larger groups led by their superiors. They will melee the player if the player gets too close.
Operational history
Conscripts saw heavy use by the Banished during the Conflict on Installation 07.
Equipment
Conscripts are equipped with regular Unggoy methane rebreathers, and utilize orange or blue pointed methane tanks and combat harnesses. Orange Conscripts carry Type-54 plasma pistols, while blue Conscripts carry Needlers. Both types carry plasma grenades.
