This article is about the soundtrack. For eponymous human vehicle, see HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark IX Mantis. For the Covenant anti-air platform, see Type-27 Mantis.
Mantis is the seventeenth track on the Volume 2 of the Halo 4: Original Soundtrack. While it is used in-game as the theme of the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark IX Armor Defense System, it also borrows theme from 117. Its motif is used again for Walk Softly from Halo 5: Guardians Original Soundtrack.
Appearances
The soundtrack can be heard playing:
- In Infinity, when John-117 boards a Mantis inside the UNSC Infinity and proceeds to repel the boarders.
- In Composer, when John-117 enters a Mantis to stop the Covenant from entering the atrium of Ivanoff Station, which contains the Composer.
- In Spartan Ops S1 Ep7 Ch1 Backup, when Lieutenant TJ Murphy deploys a Mantis into Apex to assist Fireteam Crimson.
- In Spartan Ops S1 Ep10 Ch4 Out the Other, when members of Fireteam Crimson operate Mantises in Warrens to fend off Covenant forces.
