The Covenant weapons are supposed to be more powerful than UNSC ones, Forerunner ones are supposed to be better than Covie copies. My question is, outside of balanced gameplay, how much better are they and how powerful are they in general. :Well, in the books Covenant weapons are far more powerful. Marines are described as dropping from a single plasma rifle shot, and the heat has nasty evaporating effects on the bodily juices.
