Special Weapons And Tactics, often abbreviated to SWAT, are specialized units in human law enforcement agencies which are trained to perform dangerous and high-risk operations. These can include serving high-risk arrest warrants, performing hostage rescue and armed intervention, preventing terrorist attacks, and engaging heavily-armed criminals.
