The UNSC Dawn Under Heaven was a UNSC Halcyon in service in 2552.

The Dawn Under Heaven was the sister ship of the Pillar of Autumn. At Reach, the Dawn Under Heaven fell to the Covenant. Before the modifications to the vessel, the ship was due to be scrapped, as the Halcyon-class was widely regarded as a joke by UNSC officers and crewmen, not helped by the fact that the ships acronym also spelt "DUH". The refitted Dawn Under Heaven, however, was one of the most powerful ships available to the UNSC.

Production notes[edit]

"...there is a story behind [the name of the Pillar of Autumn], though not half as interesting as that of her twice-renamed sister ship, "Dawn Under Heaven"."
— Jason Jones[4]

The Dawn Under Heaven has only been mentioned by Jason Jones in a 2001 interview, in which he alluded to the ship's name having an extremely interesting backstory.[4] To date, this reasoning has yet to be revealed.
