House of Reckoning is a multiplayer arena map for Halo Infinite that was added to the game on December 5, 2023 during Season 05: Reckoning. The map was taken from Halo Infinite's campaign and repurposed as a multiplayer map for the Firefight: King of the Hill mode.[1][2]
Universe and lore[edit]
The map is set in the House of Reckoning, Escharum's headquarters on Installation 07.[3] Specifically, its set on the first and second arenas for the Trials of Atriox.[4] These chambers were large hangar bay-like rooms that contained "training" arenas—mock battlefields made from stolen and salvaged UNSC sandbags, weapons, vehicles, and even structures—placed on beds of sand, dirt, small rocks, and large boulders (likely acquired from the surface of Zeta Halo itself) atop of large, raised platforms.[3]

Callouts[edit]
- Control Room
- House
Production notes[edit]
- The map description is a direct quote from Escharum when John-117 stormed the House of Reckoning.[3]
- An holographic sandwich can be found in the map; it can be accessed on the upper left side of the observation room of the map's first flood, behind a not-fully closed door. An holographic Master Chief with two shopping bags it can be also found on the upper right side of the observation room on the second floor; just like the holographic sandwich, it is behind a not-fully closed door. Both easter eggs can only be found and accessed by using Forge mode.
