Corporal Talia Perez is a communications officer of the UNSC Marine Corps.[1] She is a linguistics specialist. After the Fall of Reach, she joined the Spartan-III program as a member of Javelin Team.[2]
Personality and traits[edit]
Perez starts off as a greenhorn with no combat experience,[3] resulting in some difficulty in shaking off the effects of war at first.[4] She is a devout Christian and greatly values her family.[4][5] When they are killed during the Fall of Reach, she is shell-shocked, but fighting alongside Master Chief, whom she comes to greatly admire and form a personal connection with, inspires her to keep going and join the SPARTAN-III program when she has nothing left to lose.[6][2]
Perez is also a skilled linguist as she is fluent in both Spanish and English and successfully translates Var 'Gatanai's message from Sangheili into English.[5]
Production notes[edit]
Talia Perez is portrayed by Cristina Rodlo in Season Two of Halo: The Television Series.[7]
