Personal AI is a player customization option in Halo Infinite, which allows players to choose a "dumb" artificial intelligence model that comments on gameplay information or gameplay actions. The AIs vary in personality and voice, and players can customize the color of their personal AI.
Personal AIs are first encountered in the tutorial level for Infinite's multiplayer, in the AI lab of the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science. In the level, the player is ordered to head to the lab for calibration, where a Marine technician explains that the AI are modular and are guaranteed to be stable. The player then links with BUTLR, who proceeds to guide the player through the rest of the experience.[1]
