- — halowars.com description
Argent V missiles are a family of pod-launched missiles capable of lock-on precision guidance or "dumb-fire"[1], allowing them to destroy both surface targets and aircraft. These missiles are mounted on a wide selection of vehicles, from ground vehicles like the M12R Rocket Warthog, the atmospheric AC-220 Gunship[2][3], all the way to FTL capable warships.
They can also be readily mounted on to vehicles that don't come equipped with them. Franklin Mendez was known to mount a rack of these missiles on his personal Warthog, back when he was training the SPARTAN-II's on Reach as a Chief Petty Officer.[4] Ilsa Zane was also known to operate a similarly-modified vehicle.[5]
