Never Forget (Midnight Version) is the nineteenth track on Volume 2 of the Halo 4: Original Soundtrack. It is a reinterpretation of Never Forget from the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack, which itself is based on Unforgotten from the Volume 2 of the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack. The track itself was arranged, programmed and orchestrated by Kazuma Jinnouchi, in collaboration with Neil Davidge, while Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori are merely credited as the original composers.[1] It features an even larger orchastra compared to Never Forget, and the piano section is moved to the end of the track, giving it a Solemn closure.
Appearances[edit]
This soundtrack can be heard:
- In the Epilogue of Halo 4, when Thomas Lasky tells John-117 that "soldiers aren't machines", a statement that reminded John of Cortana.
- In the beginning of the Halo 4 credits.
