Birth[edit]

I believed I mentioned this at some point before, but should we assume that the years referred to in Shadow of Intent are Earth years? Wouldn't it be more likely that it is Sanghelios years? We could always wait until the Waypoint article on Tul that Grim confirmed and hope that it gives us a birthdate. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 16:06, 7 January 2016 (EST)

I don't know. The Old Covenant's timekeeping consisted of an elaborate system of Cycles and Units and Steps that we never got an explanation for. If they weren't using human time (if only for out-of-universe convenience) I would have expected them to have stuck to that. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 17:27, 7 January 2016 (EST)
I would expect the Sangheili to refuse to use the Covenant calendar based on High Charity and move back to their Sanghelios' calendar. Hunters in the Dark and Broken Circle shows that the Sangheili still use cycles in their calendar but we don't know what it's based off of. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:58, 7 January 2016 (EST)
I was under the assumption it more or less the same as the Earth calendar, just tailored to Sanghelios' day and year cycles. Hence "in her second decade" would be more akin to Earth 30s.Sith Venator Mega Blastoise.gif (Dank Memes) 20:02, 7 January 2016 (EST)

I don't remember it being brought up, but I'll keep an eye open since I'm currently creating articles for several of the novella's characters. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:53, 7 January 2016 (EST)
