I'm not entirely certain, but it seems that this Boltshot pistol-type weapon is Forerunner in origin, perhaps a directed-energy pistol of some sort, maybe the original Forerunner weapon from which the Plasma Pistol was reverse-engineered from. I mean, the design of the weapon is distinctly similar to other Forerunner weapons, like the Suppressor rifle-carbine weapon, the Lightrifle, and even the Scattershot weapon, despite the fact that neither the Suppressor (or the Boltshot) has no floating sights or anything. I could be wrong, but I suspect that this weapon must be Forerunner. I know it cannot be UNSC or Covenant, so I figure it must be Forerunner. I hope some more data comes out about the Lightrifle, the Suppressor and the Boltshot comes out soon, as I hate not knowing for sure. --Xamikaze330 17:28, 23 August 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330 | I'm not entirely certain, but it seems that this Boltshot pistol-type weapon is Forerunner in origin, perhaps a directed-energy pistol of some sort, maybe the original Forerunner weapon from which the Plasma Pistol was reverse-engineered from. Nope. I found my pictures on the other guns as well! You can see the ammo clips on each one. Strangely the boltshot has one of the biggest, 10 shots... But now the they're here, I wish I had use my yet to obtain vanguard armour which I should get tomorow. I'll try to take some pictures of other things like armour abilities with it I guess. Unless I've missed something, I haven't seen the Boltshot in Halo 5 formally referred to with "Exotic" in the name, while the Halo 4 Boltshot was. Perhaps the Halo 4 Boltshot is a variant, which explains the gameplay differences. --<span style="color: #2B1AAA;">NightHammer</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(talk)</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(contribs)</span> 17:07, 15 February 2016 (EST) |

Forerunner in origin, a pistol of sorts?[edit]
--Xamikaze330 17:28, 23 August 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330

- There is no way it isn't a Promethean weapon, the coloring and design perfectly matches other Promethean weapons.ArchedThunder 01:28, 27 August 2012 (EDT)
- That's exactly what I've been thinking! What else could it be besides what I think it is? --Xamikaze330 10:24, 27 August 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330
The Boltshot's design reminds me of the Plsma pistol, and as Xamikaze said it could be the basis of the plasma pistol because both of them can be charged up. The two different functions but same overall design and kind of give us a hint of that. --Theraptor92 (talk) 13:07, 11 February 2013 (EST)
Well I found something mine again...[edit]
The fret time I found my summary of primordium here, then I find three screenshots that I took. The reloading and two types of fire. Hehe. Nice. Erickyboo (talk) 22:12, 7 March 2013 (EST)

Exotic[edit]
Unless I've missed something, I haven't seen the Boltshot in Halo 5 formally referred to with "Exotic" in the name, while the Halo 4 Boltshot was. Perhaps the Halo 4 Boltshot is a variant, which explains the gameplay differences. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 17:07, 15 February 2016 (EST)
