Summary

Pelicans are UNSC Dropships. They are called Pelicans due to their ability to carry a large amount of cargo. A standard Pelican can carry up to 10 fully armed Marines. Every Pelican has a name, a letter from the fonetic alphabet followed by a 3 digit number. The ones that appear in Halo 1 are Echo 419, Bravo 022 (not seen), and Victor 933. A Pelican is capable of transporting a Warthog or a Scorpion. Pelicans are occasionally armed with weapons, but it isn't often.
