Deen was a Field Grade officer in the UNSC Marine Corps. Early in the Human-Covenant War, Col. Deen successfully led a force that broke through Covenant territory and defeated the opposition.
Due to this heroic feat, a fort on the human colony world of Arcadia was named after him.[1]
