Later in the same chapter, Hood remarks that Ackerson's has recently gained a seat on the ''Security Council'', not the committee. I find it exceedingly unlikely that Hood was referring to a separate body (what would it do apart from pointless duplication of effort?), and the use of "Council" instead of "Committee" was most likely an oversight. The Security Council was also mentioned in ''Halo Wars'' with the [[UNSC Security Council Resolution 2532-767ER]].
