Talk:UNSC Security Committee

Untitled[edit]

Is the UN Security Counil related to the UNSC HIGHCOM Security Commitee?

No, its now the UNSC Security Council, and is probably a separate body. Specops306, Kora 'Morhek 00:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Since this is an administrative military panel, I'm pretty sure we're missing some branches of the UNSCDF that aren't being represented. The Air Force and Army, for example. I think we may have the wrong idea about what each represents - Since Colonel Ackerson is a member of the Army, presumably that's the branch of the military he's representing. I'd imagine Major Strauss to be a representative from the Air Force, and Vice Admiral Whitcomb would represent the Navy and Marine Corps. As the defacto head of the UNSC, Admiral Hood would be committee chairman. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek 21:39, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Merge this article's content with "UNSC Security Council"[edit]

The Security Committee was mentioned only once to refer to the body of officers Wagner presents to in First Strike. Later in the same chapter, Hood remarks that Ackerson's has recently gained a seat on the Security Council, not the committee. I find it exceedingly unlikely that Hood was referring to a separate body (what would it do apart from pointless duplication of effort?), and the use of "Council" instead of "Committee" was most likely an oversight. The Security Council was also mentioned in Halo Wars with the UNSC Security Council Resolution 2532-767ER. Based on this, I suggest a merge.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 15:07, 2 November 2011 (EDT)
