| The '''armed assault boat''' was an aerial vehicle used by the [[UNSC Navy]] and [[UNSC Marine Corps]] to deploy [[Orbital Drop Shock Trooper]]s to ground targets. It was the primary method of deployment used by the ODSTs, along with parachute insertion. However, the armed assault boat proved to be ineffective. In addition to being very slow, the craft often sustained heavy fire once within firing range of ground-based defenses.
