Background
2553 was the very last year in the Human-Covenant War[1].
With the Prophet of Truth dead, the Halos deactivated, and the Flood entirely destroyed, the Battle of the Ark brought about the end of the Human-Covenant War in 2552 the previous year, formalised in 2553.
March 3rd
A monument is erected in the Kenyan Savannah in remembrance of those who gave their lives in the war including SPARTAN-117 who is labeled MIA. The Arbiter and his surviving brethren departed Earth for their homeworld, Sanghelios.
