Cairo Station console message

In the level, the Armory in Halo 2, the player can find many hidden messages.

Messages

• On almost every control panel in the armory, there is at least one screen with a message:

CODED MESSAGE:WU 1120
REJECTED BY ADMINISTRATOR REV. PAIN
MAY CONTAIN HARMFUL CONTENT.
RESULTANT PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE
ACTION: CENSORED

• On the Control Panel in the corner of the room, behind the armor plates, there is two lines of ten blinking lamps. Over and between them is some really small text. On the top of the first line the message says "FUSION GRID STATUS" and on top of the second line it says "BLINKING LIGHT SIMULATOR".
• On the floor in the shield tester, there is a warning saying: "Warning! Unauthorized personnel must stand clear".
• To the right of the elevator is a pile of boxes. One of them contains the deadly VX 7 Nerve Gas.
• If you look at the different boxes you can find some interesting items, like Marine Boots, the mobile turret that Sgt. Johnson carries at the start of the "Cairo Station" before the "Home Field Advantage" part. There are even some meals.
• "Rev. Pain" is the player name for one of Halo's creators from Bungie studios.
• The "Wu" may refer to Louis Wu, the alias of the admin of Halo.Bungie.Org or also the protagonist in the science fiction story, "Ringworld" by Larry Niven, sharing many of Halo's themes.
• When Guns tells you to look at the top light, if you wait a while he'll say:
  • "Go ahead and look at the top light Chief."
    • Note that doing this will mean you'll have to go through the full diagnostic, and will have to test out inverted sensors etc.
• If you jump around and do not face Guns while he is talking before stepping on the red square, he will make comments.
  • "Hey take it easy!"
  • "Careful, you'll tear a tendan doing that!"
  • "Are you listenin' to me?"
• When Johnson comes up with the elevator, you can push Guns into the elevator and he will come down in it with you, but you cannot push him out from the elevator.
• If you stand around, Johnson will make comments about how you're going to be late.
• There are numbers found on the display screens of the control panels. It is currently unkown if there is any cryptic reference. It can be assumed that they are coordinates.
