The Atlas Moons, as their name suggests, were the moons of the UNSC colony Atlas.
During the Human-Covenant War, these moons were a major part of the Siege of the Atlas Moons. The UNSC forces fought the Covenant on the moons. After a short battle, the UNSC forces, commanded by Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb, won on ground and in space, forcing the Covenant to retreat.[1]
