The Ninth Platoon is a unit of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers assigned to UNSC Infinity.[1]

Operational history

Between 19 and 21 September, 2559, the Ninth Platoon was onboard Perihelion Station in orbit of KC-59. In addition to field testing the ORCUS exoskeleton, the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers also ran training exercises—simulated War Games and sparring sessions—with Spartan-IIs from Blue Team, who were equipped with the new MJOLNIR [GEN3] platform; Marcus Stacker was appointed by Captain Thomas Lasky to oversee the exercises. Although some of the ODSTs were unhappy with serving as training subjects for the Spartans, Stacker observed that the Spartans have motivated the ODSTs to push themselves harder and created a camaraderie among themselves. The Ninth Platoon was due to return to the Infinity on the eve of September 21 in preparation for Operation: WOLFE.[1]
