Emblems and Nameplates (Halo Infinite): Difference between revisions

Emblems and backdrops are an element of player customization within Halo Infinite that represent a player's identity. Emblems can be applied to player cards, armor, weapons, and vehicles.

By default, the player possesses an array of emblems to use for free, however, like armor coatings, there are other means to obtain emblems. They can be earned through Battle and Operation passes, challenges, promotional campaigns and bundles. Additionally, some emblems are exclusive for certain acts such as reaching SR-152 in Halo 5: Guardians, reaching a certain rank in Halo Infinite's ranked playlists, or for getting a piece of art featured in the Halo Community Spotlight.

Acting more in line with Halo 5: Guardians over Halo: The Master Chief Collection, emblems and nameplates are synonymous, with the player's choice of emblem affecting how their nameplate's graphic appears. The player's nameplate can be seen in the pre-game intro, and in relevant menus involving the player. In place of nameplates, backdrops are available, a graphic behind the nameplate that adds an extra layer of flare to the player's profile.
