The Brunel system, referred to by the Covenant as the Narumad system,[1] is a planetary system situated within the Unified Earth Government's sphere of control. Located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, the system was home to the UEG colony world of New Llanelli.[2]

In 2448, humanity colonized the Brunel star system, establishing New Llanelli as a UEG colony. The colony was burnt to rubble during the Human-Covenant War when the Covenant glassed New Llanelli in the year 2546.[2]
