Barroth was a reputable Kig-Yar Bloodstar marksman in service of the Banished.[3] Barroth was present during the Installation 07 conflict in 2560 where he was killed by John-117.[1]
Biography[edit]
Banished Bloodstar[edit]
Barroth earned the title of Arch Khordat for his exceptional marksmanship, garnering the respect of many Kig-Yar treasurehawks and raiding krewes. His reputation of holding a virtually unblemished accuracy record eventually attracted the attention of the Banished. Barroth was recruited into their ranks and initiated as a Bloodstar, with the hopes of forging him into a lethal Spartan Killer;[2] Barroth himself held the same ambitions to join the Hand of Atriox.[3]
Serving within the Sclera of Chu'ot, Barroth participated in the Installation 07 conflict in 2560.[1][2] By May 28 of that year, he was responsible for the deaths of at least 271 UNSC personnel. At some point during the conflict, Barroth spotted an M15 Razorback, being driven by the Spartan-II John-117 towards FOB November. Barroth recognized an opportunity to kill the Spartan; though, rather than warning his comrades at the Banished-occupied FOB or those at Riven Gate, Barroth—who wanted the glory of the kill and the potential to join the Hand of Atriox—decided to observe the Spartan's action in combat and wait for the Spartan's companions to be killed in the assault on the FOB.[3] Although Barroth commanded his troops to prepare an ambush,[3] he was later killed by John-117. He was identified as a target of opportunity by the Weapon—who passed his information on to John-117—the Spartan then tracked down and killed Barroth, along with all the Banished forces accompanying him.[1]
Equipment[edit]
In addition to wearing a Kig-Yar targeting headgear like other Kig-Yar snipers, Barroth was known to carry a modified Elutuzem-pattern stalker rifle called the Stalker Rifle Ultra.[1][2][3]

Target dossier[edit]
Having earned the title of Khordat for his exceptional prowess behind a scope, the Ruuhtian marksman Barroth garnered a reputation among Kig-Yar treasurehawks and raiding krewes for his virtually unblemished accuracy record. That reputation earned interest from the Banished and eventual initiation into their Bloodstar ranks with the aim of producing a lethal Spartan Killer. To date, our best intel attributes at least 271 UNSC deaths directly Barroth. If given the opportunity, we must engage carefully, but with extreme prejudice. | |
