Yapflip is allegedly an Unggoy and the brother of Flipyap.[1]
Production notes[edit]
Yapflip was mentioned in a piece of random dialogue in Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST; with the IWHBYD skull enabled, after an Unggoy witnesses the death of an ally, he may identify his dead companion as Flipyap, then confusing Flipyap for Yapflip. The line of dialogue was notably the first mention of the nipple academy, which is presumably named after food nipple feeding tubes used by the Unggoy.[1][2] In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, there is an achievement with Flipyap's namesake for triggering this piece of dialogue.
