- "Let it never be said that a Jiralhanae lacks the ambition to explore what can be achieved through our minds as well as our might."
- — Vulcus, reflecting on Sicatt Workshop's achievements.[1]
Vulcus is a Jiralhanae technician and a member of Sicatt Workshop's Alchemy Corps. By 2559, Vulcus was stationed on the Banished dreadnought Ghost of Barolon.[1]
Biography[edit]
Alchemy Corps[edit]
While stationed aboard the Banished dreadnought Ghost of Barolon in 2559, Vulcus was involved with the development of the Sicatt Workshop shock rifle. When presented with the finalized standard version of the shock rifle, Vulcus questioned if it could not be improved further by having a larger number of bolts fired with each burst. Vulcus desired Sicatt Workshop to further investigate the applications for voltaic weaponry, ultimately hoping that the technology could be applied to the weapons aboard Banished warships to aid in ramming maneuvers and boarding actions.[1]
Trivia[edit]
In keeping with common Jiralhanae naming conventions, Vulcus has a Latin-sounding name with the "-us" suffix. Furthermore, the name may be a reference to Vulcan of Roman mythology, the god of fire, metalworking, and the forge, possibly drawing a connection to Vulcus's hand in forging new hardware for the Banished.
