The Qavardu Workshop war-skiff is a transport vehicle employed by the Banished.[1][4]

Overview

Design details

The war-skiff is a versatile transport vehicle with a design descended from raiding vehicles used in the post-immolation ravaged landscapes of the Jiralhanae homeworld Doisac. The skiff bears broad resemblance to the Prowler and Marauder war-sleds; however, rather than a heavily armoured hull, the vehicle has large seating spaces for several passengers alongside the driver and gunner. The gunnery port is situated at the vehicle's front—featuring a modular port that allows for a diverse array of cannons to be installed (though generally restricted to lighter weapons).[1]

Usage

The war-skiff is a transport vehicle that was used by the Banished to ferry prisoners of war,[3][5] notably from the Redoubt of Sundering to Chak 'Lok's Tower during the Battle for Zeta Halo.[1][6] The vehicle's design almost resembles the Qavardu Workshop Prowler with huge spaces in the center of vehicle. War-skiffs used in the conflict were manufactured by the Forge of Raansek and developed by the Qavardu War-Forges.[1]

Production notes

The war-skiff was first unveiled as a MEGA Brands set in 2020,[2] with the ability to be rebuilt in two other models. The first model is a wall fortification, with a turret mounted on the top. The second model is a walker that heavily resembles the Klavrig Workshop Skitterer, down to having four legs and two fang-like protrusion in the front; much like the Skitterer, it also has two mounted weapons.
