Henri Malik, callsign Windfall-Four, was a SPARTAN-IV supersoldier of Fireteam Windfall in the United Nations Space Command.[2]
Biography[edit]
Spartan career[edit]
At some point between 2557 and 2558, Henri Malik participated in F-41 Broadsword sorties on Requiem with Firteam Windfall. By December 2559, Malik has run multiple operations with Fireteam Windfall for years, including Prowler corps maneuvers on a Kig-Yar purse-moon as well as strike on Jiralhanae raiding parties alongside Swords of Sanghelios.[3]
Installation 07[edit]
- Main article: Battle for Zeta Halo
On December 12, 2559, Spartan Malik was onboard a FSS-1000 Sabre escorting UNSC Infinity when it was ambushed by Banished forces upon arrival at Installation 07.[4] As the Infinity fell to the Banished assault, Malik covered his teammate Vedrana Makovich as she engaged Banshees that were attacking the lifeboats launching from the Infinity.[2] Their support extended to clearing the space along the Infinity's ejection tubes to allow for the deployment of Spartans and ODSTs.[4] Upon arrival at the surface of the ring, Malik presumably rendezvoused with other UNSC forces at the wreckage of UNSC Mortal Reverie, which had been found by Spartan Makovich and designated as a UNSC base of operations.[5]
On January 23, 2560, Spartan Hudson Griffin, the de facto leader at the crash site, proposed the Spartans to draw straws to participate in an assassination mission on the Banished War Chief Escharum.[6] Malik, along with Spartans Griffin, Panago, and Sarkar were selected.[7][8] However, the assassination on Escharum failed, with Malik being reported as a casualty before Griffin was captured himself.[1][9] After hearing of Malik's death, Makovich lamented that she did not expect to lose a teammate to a failed assassination attempt.[3]
