Terminals (UNSC Z-classification: Z-9930 Information Vector Console, Z-9930 IVC) are a Forerunner interface device.[1]
Overview[edit]
These terminals are located across many Forerunner constructs which can be accessed by acclimated AI or native ancillas. They are generally databases of knowledge and past experiences, but many operate simply as a conduit for information transmitted from the Domain.
While on Installation 00, John-117 discovered a number of terminals containing ancient Forerunner communications logs, as well as direct messages from Mendicant Bias. Four years later, while on Requiem and other Forerunner constructs, Cortana was able to access several of them, revealing ancient secrets buried by the Forerunners before the activation of the Halo Array.
