The '''''New York Times''''' is an [[Easter Egg]] in ''[[Halo 3: ODST]]''. Throughout the game, papers and other various detritus litter the ground. Although most of these items are completely indecipherable, one is a newspaper bearing the partially obscured headline:

Although the newspaper can be found throughout the game, it is perhaps most easily viewed on [[NMPD HQ (level)|NMPD HQ]], as it appears in a fully lit area. Four copies of the paper can be found in the room in which [[Edward Buck]] says, "''Grab some ammo, Romeo. These boys won't need it.''" One is inside the desk in the center of the room, near a dead NMPD officer's left foot. A second is to the officer's right, near a chair; in the ''[[Halo: The Master Chief Collection|Master Chief Collection]]'' version of the game, a sniper rifle is pointing directly at it. A third is to the far right of the room, near a dead NMPD officer, a dead Grunt, and a large blood stain on the floor. The final copy is on the left side of the room near the far AC [[chatter]] console.
