Kalmiya

Kalmiya was created by Dr. Catherine Halsey for the primary purpose of testing experimental software and techniques that would be incorporated into Cortana. Entering service in 2537, Kalmyia was decompiled, edited, and reconstructed by Dr. Halsey several times, prolonging her lifespan far past that of most "smart" AI. Despite the fact that Kalmiya was destroyed during the Fall of Reach, Blue Team discovered some of her subroutines surviving within the ruins of CASTLE Base in 2559. These remnants guarded a vault holding material that was later used to create the AI known simply as "the Weapon."

Voro Nar 'Mantakree

Serving on the Varric-pattern heavy cruiser Incorruptible during the Great Schism, Voro Nar 'Mantakree killed shipmaster Tano 'Inanraree when he refused to fire on Flood which threatened to board their vessel, believing them Forerunner creations. After taking control of the Incorruptible, 'Mantakree was able to negotiate a truce between the Sangheili and Jiralhanae warships at High Charity, urging them to focus their attention on the Flood. However, the truce would be short-lived, forcing 'Mantakree to flee to Saepon'kal to regroup with another Sangheili fleet. There, Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree ordered Voro Nar 'Mantakree to prevent the humans on Onyx from accessing its stores of Forerunner relics. Ultimately, 'Mantakree and his forces were killed when Spartan-II Kurt-051 detonated two nuclear warheads, destroying the planet.

Halberd-class light destroyer

Entering service in 2508, the Halberd-class light destroyer was prominent during the Insurrection and throughout the Human-Covenant War. The class continues to serve even into the post-war era. What the Halberd lacks in general-purpose utility, it makes up for with speed and firepower. Its dual MAC battery, 26 Archer missile pods, 4 Rampart point defense guns, and 3 Shiva-class nuclear missiles grant the warship a surprisingly powerful bite for its modest size. Notable Halberd-class light destroyers include the UNSC Iroquois, UNSC Pioneer and UNSC The Heart of Midlothian.

Anodyne Spirit

The Supernal Spiral-class keyship Anodyne Spirit played a key role in the reseeding of life throughout the galaxy following the activation of the Halo Array. After returning to the Ark, the vessel was hijacked by Mendicant Bias in an attempt to atone for its sins by assisting humanity. The keyship ultimately crashed on the San'Shyuum homeworld, forming the basis of their religion. Millennia later, Anodyne Spirit was used by the Prophet of Truth to activate a portal to the Ark. With the Prophet's efforts to activate Halo ending in failure, the keyship remained where it was left, while those left to guard the vessel only now starting to venture out from its armored hull.

Luna

Luna, Earth's only moon, was first visited by modern humanity in 1969 and colonized by 2080. In 2362, the first extrasolar colony vessel—the Odyssey—was launched from a mooring platform over Luna, leaving for the planet Reach in the Epsilon Eridani system and kicking off the Domus Diaspora. Even following these colonization efforts, Luna has remained an extremely important colony within the human sphere. The UNSC Navy's prestigious Luna OCS Academy is located in Mare Nubium and ONI maintains a facility in Daedalus Crater.

Orion-class assault carrier

Considered state-of-the-art at the time of its introduction in 2473, the Orion-class assault carrier served within the UNSC Navy during the Insurrection and Human-Covenant War. The Orion-class is notable for its automated factories and chemical processors. Most commonly found on colony vessels, these features allow the assault carrier to produce fuel, spare parts, and even some combat vehicles without any outside assistance. Additionally, the Orion-class features two heavy MACs, allowing it deal significant damage to enemy warships.

War sphinx

Operated in combat by Forerunner Warrior-Servants, the war sphinx was a highly versatile combat vehicle. Though usually flown in air and space, they could also operate on the ground in a bipedal form. War sphinxes were deployed in large numbers during the Human-Forerunner War and the following Forerunner-Flood War. After his first exile, the Ur-Didact's Cryptum was guarded by twelve war sphinxes, each of which were once piloted by his children before their deaths. Several war sphinxes would later be discovered on Shield World 006 by ONI scientists, though they have yet to unlock the machines' secrets.

Tul 'Juran

Tul 'Juran is the daughter of Tulum 'Juranai and scion of his keep on the Sangheili frontier colony of Rahnelo. In 2553, she joined Shipmaster Rtas 'Vadum on his hunt for Tem'Bhetek, a San'Shyuum prelate who had assaulted Rahnelo. After helping the shipmaster destroy a superweapon that the San'Shyuum planned to use on Sanghelios, Rtas 'Vadum informed Arbiter Thel 'Vadam of Tul 'Juran's valor and combat ability during the mission. In response, 'Vadam eased restrictions on female service within the Swords of Sanghelios.

Protos-pattern Scarab

Though rarely seen in combat, the Protos-pattern Scarab is equipped with a focus cannon that is among the most powerful to ever be mounted on a Covenant walker. This armament is best suited for artifact retrieval purposes, for which the Protos possessed specialized sensor arrays. Like the other Scarab variations, the Protos-pattern Scarab utilizes colonies of Rhulolekgolo to control its exoskeleton. Despite generally being used in non-combat roles, the Protos was deployed during several conflicts late in the Human-Covenant War, such as those on Meridian, Reach, Earth, and Installation 05.

Hazel-A302

Hazel Leonidov was an exceptional athlete and student even as a child, leading to her catching ONI's attention. Orphaned early in humanity's war with the Covenant, Hazel was conscripted into the first company of Spartan-III supersoldiers. Prior to Operation: PROMETHEUS, Hazel-A302 was transferred to the Headhunter program, recording over a dozen confirmed kills on Covenant high-value targets. After the war, she and fellow Spartan-III Owen-B096 served in a public-facing role at Outpost Discovery. Following the start of the Created conflict and the increasing Banished threat, Hazel was reassigned to protect supply lines along the periphery of humanity's colonies.

Rarely encountered in combat both during and after the Human-Covenant War, the Bkowe'nei-pattern Vampire is an anti-aircraft fighter with unique armaments, including a heavy needle cannon, two medium plasma cannons, a stasis cannon and a stasis bomb. While it functioned well in its intended role, the Covenant would favor other aircraft with heavier armaments and greater versatility. However, Vampires notably saw combat during the Harvest Campaign, the Battle for Arcadia, and the following Battle of Trove. After the war's end, several Vampires were witnessed in the possession of Fleetmaster Rojka 'Kasaan.

Aggressor Sentinel

Aggressor Sentinels are Forerunner drones designed to operate in both security and maintenance roles. Each installation has its own unique variation of Aggressor Sentinel, though they all share the same methods of operation and structural design. All known variants of Aggressor Sentinel are equipped with a powerful sterilization beam weapon and energy shields for protection. While Aggressor Sentinels are most well-known for their task of containing and neutralizing Flood outbreaks, they will respond violently to any sufficiently hostile presence, as well as assist Constructor Sentinels in repair operations.

Cal-141

Cal-141 was a Spartan-II supersoldier who most notably served during Operation: GREY VEIL, a mission with the objective of assassinating a Minor Prophet on the mysterious world of Heian. During the operation, Cal-141 and a squad of ODSTs travelled for days to the spot where she was to take the shot on the high-value target, encountering Covenant forces along the way. Concord

Concord was established as an Outer Colony in 2490 due to its ideal position relative to slipspace routes and its high concentration of precious mineral deposits. These features made the planet an attractive location for the headquarters of Lethbridge Industrial, a corporation that specializes in gravitic control systems and components for MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. In late 2551, Concord was attacked by an unusually small Covenant force, but the combined efforts of the UNSC and Concordian militia were able to repel the alien invaders. This rare victory allowed Concord to survive the Human-Covenant War relatively unscathed.

Hieu Dinh

A field analyst for ONI Section Three during the Human-Covenant War, Hieu Dinh was tasked with capturing Covenant technology and repurposing it. Not long after the war's end, he was recruited into the Spartan-IV program. While still a new recruit, Dinh's fireteam was sent on a disastrous mission into a Yanme'e hive that resulted in the deaths of all of his teammates and him escaping with severe wounds. During the Created Conflict, Dinh met Spartan Sigrid Eklund, who later accompanied him on a fateful mission to the Banished-held colony of Camber.

Have S'Moa

Have S'Moa is a restaurant and petting zoo located on Gannick 22, a human Inner Colony world. Owned by entrepreneur Wiljax Brantley, the business makes its money from Moa, bird-like creatures native to Reach. When that planet was glassed in 2552, Have S'Moa was lucky enough to have just received a shipment of Moa from Reach. The sudden scarcity of Moa caused their value to skyrocket, and it made Brantley a very wealthy man. His Moa nuggets and burgers are still popular meals in the post-war period.
