Team Echo was a team comprised of several SPARTAN-IIIs of Beta Company that was known to have participated in the infamous Operation: TORPEDO.[1]
History[edit]
Training[edit]
Team Echo was formed from SPARTAN-IIIs that were voluntarily recruited circa 2539.[2][3][Note 1] They were trained at Camp Currahee under the watchful eye of Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose on the highly classified planet Onyx.
Operation: TORPEDO[edit]
- Main article: Operation: TORPEDO
In 2545, the majority of Beta company (300 in total) took part in Operation: TORPEDO, a plan to disrupt Covenant fuel supply lines. After the completion of the operation, all members of this group, along with most of Beta Company, were pronounced KIA as the explosion killed almost every SPARTAN-III.
List of appearances[edit]
- Halo: Ghosts of Onyx (First appearance)
Notes[edit]
- ^ Lessons Learned establishes that Beta Company members Tom-B292 and Lucy-B091 were six years old when they started their training. Page 106 of the Halo Encyclopedia (2022 edition) establishes that Tom and Lucy were born on April 14, 2533 and January 28, 2533, respectively. This makes Beta Company's start date somewhere between April 2539 and January 2540.
