The UNSC Wink of an Eye was a prowler in the UNSC Navy.[2]
Background
The UNSC Wink of an Eye was assigned to UNSC Battle Group India. The ship took part in the Battle of Psi Serpentis, better known as Admiral Cole's Last Stand. The prowler was in the Psi Serpentis System for seven days prior to the battle, scouting and waiting for the rest of the fleet to arrive. At the outset of the battle the vessel then transitioned into slipspace to drop guidance beacons in order for the rest of the fleet to perform an unprecedented in-system slipspace jump.[2]
Trivia
The vessel's name references the idiom "in the wink of an eye," meaning "instantaneously" or "extremely quickly."
