Strab was a Jiralhanae serving aboard the Covenant cruiser Rapid Conversion. He was a member of Maccabeus's pack, and had not yet earned his masculine "us" suffix.[1]
Biography
Battle of Harvest
- Main article: First Battle of Harvest
Strab was a part of Maccabeus' pack and served on the Covenant cruiser Rapid Conversion.
After recovering the Deacon Dadab and Huragok Lighter Than Some, the crew of the Rapid Conversion discovered the human agricultural colony of Harvest in the Epsilon Indi system. Maccabeus' assessment of the planet with the ship's Luminary showed thousands of relics, but the devout Chieftain was soon shocked to learn that Dadab believed that there was an "Oracle" located on the planet. After a violent encounter with the Kig-Yar privateers of Minor Transgression, the humans on Harvest sent the Rapid Conversion's crew a message, detailing that humans wanted peace and wished to give the aliens a peace offering.[2]
Strab was aboard the cruiser when it was hit by Harvest's mass driver. While overlooking the planet from a hologram, he noticed civilians escaping in Harvest's space elevators.[3] Furious that his uncle allowed the ship to become disabled, Tartarus challenged Maccabeus for dominance of the pack. Strab and Grattius both watched Tartarus kill the Chieftain and become leader of the pack. Strab and Grattius then bowed down to the new Chieftain.[1]
He was most likely killed by the Harvest Colonial Militia during the engagement on the Tiara.
