The prowler was in the Psi Serpentis System for seven days prior to the battle, scouting and waiting for the rest of the fleet to arrive. At the outset of the battle the vessel then transitioned into Slipspace to drop guidance beacons in order for the rest of the fleet to perform an unprecedented in-system slipspace jump.[2]
