The Kodiak was a UNSC APC cut from Halo: Reach.[1] Not much is known about the vehicle other than what can be seen in concept art. It featured a laterally-mounted turret on the back, as well as two smaller turrets on either side. The vehicle was planned to have different permutations, each with a different turret on the back.
Trivia
- The Kodiak was originally named the Wolverine. It is unknown if there is any relation to the M9 Wolverine found in Halo Wars.
- The Kodiak strongly resembles the M577 Armored Personnel Carrier from the 1986 film Aliens, which has been cited as a heavy influence on the Halo series.
- A vehicle called the M400 Kodiak is present as an artillery platform in Halo Wars 2, although it is substantially different in design and role from the cut Kodiak APC. A new UNSC APC known as the M650 Mastodon is also featured in Halo Wars 2.
