The Gigas fighter-bomber is an older Covenant Sangheili-manned subluminal attack craft. Despite the age of this craft, the mouthpiece in the most recent model of Sangheili Flight Harness is still equipped with the multi-port required to interface with them.[1] It has a crescent-winged silhouette, and cannon mounts the size of a Nandao fighter.[2]
Gigas fighter-bombers were carried by the Fleet of Swift Justice. At the end of the Battle of Netherop, one of these strikecraft destroyed the Steadfast Strike.[2]
Trivia
"Gigas" is a Greek term for "giant." It is the root of the word "gigantic".
