==Movie or Reach trailer?==
I'm not actually sure it this belongs here but whatever. On the TV, I've seen a commercial for the the "Samsung" (?) cell phone with an integrated screen and blah blah blah. The commercial began with a SPARTAN in the desert with an alien aircraft attacking him. It was live action and when he got into another craft, he was wearing a MJOLNIR Mk VI suit. I don't know if its a false referance to HALO but it seems a little too high budget to be a simple phone comercial. This suggested that it was a new REACH ad, yet I haven't found anything on it here. Is this a scene from the (potentially) upcoming movie? Or is it just a phone ad that made a brief and unimportant Halo referance?-- 13:08, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Alot of the information on here seems really half-a$$ed, no offence, I think we need more info, like, every drop of info on this thing from across the net, including casting auditions, where to go for them, I'm sure that those working to get this thing back on would like tons of help, including many stand-ins for Marines, and probably an unrecognizeable actor as Master Chief (it is highly possible his face will be shown in the film), but yeah if anybody has any info on this that would be great, I will be researching as well. --Kluutak 09:59, 15 November 2010 (EST)

:For all intents and purposes, the movie is completely over. "Development hell" implies that the movie is still alive, but if it ever gets off the ground then it is going to be in a completely different form, with different people involved, with a different style. There are no casting calls or auditions because there is nobody working on it. Its a misconception that really irritates me, and one that seems to be actively encouraged by Microsoft. This isn't directed at you alone, Kluutak, but why is it so difficult for people to get that the things is as dead and dreaming like deep Cthulhu? This page seems to be a little bit outdated. With all of the new live action series (FUD, Nightfall, Halo Telivision series), it seems like the 1 project that this page was originally intended to cover (a movie) has splintered off into several different things, each with their own articles. What this page is provides is an exceptionally handy timeline, which I have used many times. Perhaps we should rename this page to reflect its role as a catalog of the history of live action series in Halo? --Weeping Angel (talk) 15:06, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
:While I agree to an extent, I think the title is fine as it is. It's not perfect but it's succinct and it gets the point across — most of the history is about the original theatrical film project with more modest web releases like Forward Unto Dawn and Nightfall as little more than side notes, and I don't see a title that would better fit the article's scope. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:07, 29 September 2014 (EDT) |

Movie or Reach trailer?[edit]
I'm not actually sure it this belongs here but whatever. On the TV, I've seen a commercial for the the "Samsung" (?) cell phone with an integrated screen and blah blah blah. The commercial began with a SPARTAN in the desert with an alien aircraft attacking him. It was live action and when he got into another craft, he was wearing a MJOLNIR Mk VI suit. I don't know if its a false referance to HALO but it seems a little too high budget to be a simple phone comercial. This suggested that it was a new REACH ad, yet I haven't found anything on it here. - The later. Why? Firstly: MJOLNIR mark VI isn't usable in Halo: Reach. Secondly: there is no Halo Movie (check the timeline on its page).-- Forerunner 13:45, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Samuel Jackson as Johnson[edit]
As an acting student I know that somebody's personality will usually show through when acting. I can't see Jackson doing Johnson. - You do realise that the movie is in development hell right? That there are no casting calls, Marine stand-ins or actors for Master Chief? That what's on the page is all there is regarding the movie at all? And you were telling us to do research... - Halo-343 (Talk) 15:29, 15 November 2010 (EST)

"Development hell" implies that the movie is still alive, but if it ever gets off the ground then it is going to be in a completely different form, with different people involved, with a different style.
