Yonhe is a small moon located in the Orion Arm, formerly within the dominion of the Covenant empire. The moon is the homeworld of the Yonhet.[1][2]

Discovery by the Covenant[edit]
When Yonhe was discovered by the Covenant, the Yonhet's small native population was viewed as militarily insignificant, with there being little value in considering them as full signatories to the Covenant Empire. Instead, Yonhe and the Yonhet were incorporated into the Covenant fringe.[1] The Yonhets inherent talents in trade and artifact hunting indicated to San'Shyuum missionaries that the Yonhe population may have merit in some form, leading to some Yonhet being employed to locate artifacts on abandoned planets and relics.[2]
Production notes[edit]
Yonhe is mistakenly referred to as "Yonhet" in "ONI: Walk the Path", a Second Story that was released alongside Halo: Nightfall.[3] This mistake has not been kept, with the 2022 edition of the Halo Encyclopedia keeping it as Yonhe.[2]
