Hey Specops!

First of all, since I haven't been here in a while, I'd like to say congrats on becoming an admin! That aside, I've discovered a discrepency. While the page Eridanus II says the planet was destroyed by the Covenant in 2530. The page Reach states the the title planet fell in 2552. However, the page Epsilon Eridani says that both planets are in the same system, and has the references to "prove" it. As I lack easy access to the Halo books, I was wondering if you could come up with a theory to why this is, or explain to me what is wrong.

Slight Problem

After checking through pages that I periodicly help on, I have discovered a small problem that the two of us participate in. You see, your template

Template:Covenant Government

is the one most often used when dealing with the theocracy of the Covenant, however my (older) template

Template:Known Governmental Branches of the Covenant

has also been in use. After finding this out, is there a way to merge the two together, to make a single source?

Tips for beginners

From now on i will edit some pages with tips that will help beginners if it is multi player or campain so mind the edits

Elite Ranks?

Where are the Minor and Major Stealth Elite ranks on the Sangheilli page? Where would and Ultra Honor Guard ranks fall between? What about the Specop Commander rank? Where would that fall? I noticed that all four ranks arn't present under the Covenant Elite Picture under "Ranks" (the one that goes, Councillor, Arbiter, Aristocrat, Imperial Admiral, Supreme Commander, etc.) I think you guys did a really good job. Its hard to find sites like this... Thanks


Actually, Ultra Honour Guard and SpecOps Commander are there. As for Major and Minor Stealth Elites, I'm not sure whether they exist. I was under the impression that there were only Stealth, and SpecOps.

Well, talk pages like this are usually the way to contact an admin. Some, like Manticore, use them exclusively, shunning message boards altogether. Page that shows ranks and points

i'm not sure if this is a real problem or just a lag, but when i went on the page that shows the logo for each rank and the points you need to get it, a few of the images were missing, replaced with red writing.

What kind of activities do you propose? I'm thinking of little contests to see who can do the most work on a page, the best work on a page, highest quality edits, stuff like that, which will give awards and promotions, and that will inspire CoH users to edit articles more. But EwCDnaudee being the only admin Councillor; he will still have abilities Nicmavr and I won't have; such as protecting and unprotecting pages. Though Nicmavr and I do have Rollback, so that will be sure to help.

Question Concerning Correction

Specops306-

On the page for "Halo: Combat Evolved" you took "Microsoft took interest in its development" and changed it to "Microsoft took interest in it's development". I just wanted to notify you that "its" mean it belongs to "it". That form of "its" was correct, contrary to popular belief. You corrected the already correct "its" and changed it to the incorrect "it's". "It's" means "it is", and not that it belongs to it. You made it mean "Microsoft took interest in it is development", which is, no doubt, incorrect. I just wanted to tell you not to change any more "its" to "it's" because they both mean different things and the latter is incorrect. Please reply to me once you've read this message.

Legendary Ending

what exactly does the legendary ending mean? like is bungie making an expansion or something because they just cant leave us at that part

Nobody knows what it really means. At its most basic, it just means Forward Unto Dawn is drifting toward a Forerunner planet. But we don't know what that world is, whether it'll enter its atmosphere, whether the Chief will survive reentry, or how long he's been in cryo-sleep. About Spartan-II Numbers

I would much appreciate it if you would stop stating that there were 300 SPARTAN-II's, as that is a false statement. According to Fall of Reach, 150 candidates for the program were located by ONI, but due to budgetary constraints only 75 were captured, trained and augmented (out of the 75, of course, we have the 12 cripples, 30 dead and 33 survivors)

Where you are getting your idea that there were 300 S-II's, I don't know: either it's the 300 Spartans of the Greek legend (and subsequent movie 300), or the fact that the Spartan-III Alpha and Beta Companies had 300 candidates in them.

It is true that the Class 2 is of extremely dubious canonicity, but at the current time there is no other, adequate solution to the Spartan problem. P.S. I saw on your page that you liked Contact Harvest the best out of all the Halo Books, my personal favorite is the Fall of Reach, what did you see in Harvest that you liked so much?

RE Contact Harvest

Hmmmm.... interesting opinion. I liked Contact Harvest, it was a great book and I loved the Dadab storyline, it showed how awesome grunts could be and it gave us more information on Engineers which are one of my favorite races, but there were some things I disliked. One was the AI love story. It wasn't that interesting and I think it diverted the book where another more interesting storyline could have been placed, but it did offer some insights into what the rampant Forerunner AIs could have gone through. The other storyline I didn't like was Sgt. Johnson's. I know it added a huge amount to his character, but I preferred him as the unshakable hero, not the shady ONI operative and that sort of ruined my view of him.

Hey, mistakes happen. This is a confusing matter, and I, as much as you, hope we could get a clear answer to it. I know the feeling when you just want to "correct" stuff; something just seems wrong, so no time should be wasted to put up a discussion and wait for someone to answer, which will most likely happen in a few weeks or months, possibly never. I was ready to accept the merge of the systems, but then again, it's hard to ignore all that evidence. Anyways, no harm done. But there's still the question with Ehilend; see the talk page. The Package Question

What armor is Master Chief wearing in "The Package"? It looks like Mark VI, but he didn't get that until Halo 2. How can he be fighting alongside Kelly after Halo 2 when she was on Reach and then got trapped on Onyx? Is this an episode inaccuracy?

Stranded ships

I was looking at the ships that followed Regret's ship to Delta Halo, and if the ships that chased him completely missed there location, wouldn't that mean they are stranded? Since it was calculated that Delta Halo was like several thousands light years, wouldn't that make it nearly impossible for the ships to return home?
