The UNSC Onan (hull classification symbol DDA-147) is a United Nations Space Command freighter,[2] specifically under the authority of the United Nations Space Command Defense Force.[3]
Design details[edit]
The Onan is a small, "boxy" freighter, essentially a hanging rectangular box in space without external appendages.[4] On its interior, it is perfectly bilinear symmetrical, with two perfectly equal sides. Conveyor belts run throughout the length of the ship, carrying metal crates that have cargo shipments. Various control panels are located along the mid-line of the vessel.[3]
Service history[edit]
It was orbiting the dark side of Earth during the Battle of Earth,[5] and was positioned directly between Earth and Luna.[3]
The Onan was charged with ferrying supplies to military and civilian installations around the world during the Battle of Earth. Its ultimate fate is unknown.[1]

- The ship was likely named after the biblical figure of the same name.
- The Onan is the location of the Halo 2 multiplayer map Elongation.[3]
