Terra Nova is a colony world of the Unified Earth Government.[1] Its name is Latin for "New Earth".

Terra Nova is listed as "home of record" in a tongue-and-cheek enlistment document for the UNSC armed forces, received over email after signing on to participate in the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge and the Halo 4 Global Championship.
