Wouldn't it be easier to merge them together and create a Template:UNSC Weapons? This would actually help the editors and normal users, navigate the UNSC weapons. :IIRC, all the weapons used to be on one template, but were then separated into those categories because the template was becoming too cluttered to look good on an article. Overall, I feel it's more organized this way.
