Talk:Unified Combined Military Boot Camp

"Unified" boot camp[edit]
Why does the UNSC have a unified enlisted training system? Sure our good man Cole got six weeks of Barf School but the Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force are all radically different.
- There are certain elements of military training, like firing a rifle, personal discipline, marching, etc., that are basically universal, so the UNSC probably thought it was best to combine them into a joint training regime. From what we see in the games and books, the UNSC seems to be working on the principle of "everyone can serve as an infantryman if necessary". It's hardly the most coherent system in the universe, and the UNSC's officer selection system isn't much better.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 09:37, 21 December 2012 (EST)
- Guess that even though the weapons training is mainly for Army and Marine infantry, I guess the Air Force and Navy guys get to learn how to fire an MA5 for self-defense right? Then again Luna OCS probably only trained Navy officers and MAYBE a handful of Marines. Thanks, 1-1 Marines
