I believe it's name is, while quite cheesy, the UNSC-ODST. That is, if you examine the enlarged image of the Destroyer closely, the name of the ship. EM

I never noticed those letters before.I can make out the UNSC but the other letters are to blurry.I think I can make out an S but the other letters are to hard. I suggest we either wait for the episode to premeir Saturday so we don't get it wrong or try to get a clearer picture.SPARTAN-177 03:18, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

It may simply mean that the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Divisions operate their own troop ships separately from the regular Navy troopships. soooo now the ODST's arn't only commandos but also ship crew. With respect, that's more than a little odd. Let me put out the reasons why. Now the Navy are EXPERTS at what they do. You would have less ODSTs around if they did that, and when fighting a losing war, you would try to get all the specops you could doing what they do best. Instead, you could use the Navy, who are trained to run these ships in a muiltitude of circumstances. What I think makes more sense is that it could a navel ship that is tailored for supporting ONLY ODST operations, like a ship for their use run by the Navy. Think of it as a modern Amphibious assault ship. ships like these are made to support ground operations, carring weapons, supplies and the like but are run by Navel personel.--CR8ZY-ArAB 02:35, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Ship appearance

Anyone else think that the ship doesn't fit with the usual UNSC build scheme? Most UNSC ships have an angeled, blocky appearance while having fairly smooth surfaces. A good example is the Pillar of Autumn. Granted PoA was an older ship, but even then the Marathon cruiser and the frigates, while being more geometrically complex still don't have the hundreds of tiny antennas or whatever those things poking out at every conceivable angle that this ship has? My guess: A. it's an older ship than the rest of the UNSC's fleet, or B. It's artistic license on the part of the animation designer. SPARTAN-347 17:18, 23 November 2010 (EST)
